Sudan Youth Parliament for Water (SYPW)

What it is?

Sudan Youth Parliament for Water (SYPW) is Sudanese Youth Network acting for water around Sudan. SYPW acting for water at all levels: from local communities; where it implements concrete actions, to international water debates; where SYPW advocate for youth participation in the water sector. SYPW is a National Chapter of the World Youth Parliament for Water (WYPW), which is an organization, initiated and coordinated by the International Secretariat for Water in Canada in 2002. The young members are at the heart of the SYPW, as it is a network of young people, for young people and lead by young people; each is responsible for implementing the aforementioned activities locally in their community.

Our Goals

Sudan Youth Parliament for Water (SYPW)
  • educate Sudanese youth about their role in solving water challenges
  • raise the awareness of people about the current water-related challenges across the planet
  • ensure youth recognition as a key stakeholder in the water sector
  • ensure equitable safe and stable access to water and sanitation systems for all people in Sudan
  • promote water issues as a political priority
  • see youth in Sudan leading water revolution and changing the map of Sudan water supply and sanitation.
